Prague's dreaming spires, stunning architecture and lively nightlife have been drawing in visitors for a number of years now and have made the city deservedly one of Europe's premier tourist destinations. Prague remains as beautiful as ever. The castle, which watches over the city from Hradcany hill, is over 1100 years old and is the largest ancient castle in the world.

Many visitors come simply to sample the city's varied and vibrant nightlife. Its traditional pubs and restaurants have now been augmented by a large number of gourmet restaurants, cocktail bars and cafes. But one simply cannot beat a cold, crisp Czech beer in a traditional Czech pub, and thankfully, there are still many of these all over the centre of the city.

There is more to this stunning country than its beautiful capital however, and a trip to one of the spa towns of north Bohemia, one of its famous castles or a preserved village in south Moravia is highly recommended.
